Modern Oahu, Hawaii Couples Adventure Photography Session

Meeting Jen + Neepak was the most beautiful, serendipitous moment. It truly speak volumes as to you have NO idea what surprise relationships or opportunities can pop up within your day :’ )

While location scouting for an elopement I had the next day in Sedona, Arizona… I ran into another couple adorable couple who had been struggling a bit taking their selfies with the dramatic sunrise and views… Naturally I couldn’t watch them struggle anymore as a ridiculously magical sunrise was happening.. I HAD to make sure their time was documented in a way that did it justice! haha! They said yes to my offer to take a few portraits for them, we snapped a few, then got to talking. Long story short they are the most rad couple from New Jersey. They value travel and pretty much budget to ensure they can travel often. (aka- my kinda kindred spirits! haha) When they realized I travel for photography they asked if I’d be willing to come to Hawaii with them…. UHM… let me think about it for a second… YES. Yes. Every time. Yes 😄. During their week vacation on Oahu we planned an adventure day full of fun activities where I 3rd wheeled and captured the beauty of their love + Oahu, Hawaii’s dramatic views :’ ).

To start off the day we hiked through the jungles of Oahu to a waterfall. Then, drove across the Island to one of my favorite secret beaches on the Jurassic coast. We hiked a bit and enjoyed the views and the water. Then to finalize our day we did a little more intense hike that had a bit of elevation gain to see the most dramatic and beautiful views in Oahu at sunset. Though the sun sets on the opposite side of the island… you still cannot beat the dramatic views and beautiful colors that come out.

The day was FULL of adventure, laughs, and great conversation. I believe we were able to truly capture and document the essence of their week long trip in Hawaii during a one day adventure session.
