Eli + Hannah are from Arkansas and inquired with me about if it is possible to have 20 of their closest family and friends join them for a mountain top elopement in Colorado. OF COURSE my immediate answer was UHMMM ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY.
Hannah found the most quaint A-frame overlooking the rocky mountain scenes of Breckenridge, CO. I found them the perfect mountain top that involved a short hike to 360 views of alpine mountain views :’ ). This location is a favorite because you don’t need any permits when you have 30 people or less present for your elopement.
The only thing about eloping on a mountain top in February is the unpredictable weather patterns. We got to know the truth of this a little too well during Eli + Hannah’s ceremony haha! The weather forecast was partly cloudy and 24 degrees on the mountain top. Cold, but great weather for February!
But when we arrived a storm was quickly rolling in out of nowhere. It went from 25 degrees and sunny to negative 15 degrees and the start of a snow storm within 20 minutes
We still got the ceremony in, then safely and quickly made our way back down the mountain and finished up all the pictures back at their a-frame :’ )
Something everyone can learn from Hannah + Eli: intentional moments with family will always win over fancy arrangements and luxury pieces. The love that flowed through this intimate setting was unmatched.
