How early is too early??
Our original plan for Ky + Mason’s Romantic North Cascades elopement was to be awake by 3am, arrive at the trailhead at 5 am, to start their elopement day at 5:30am!!That early call would have been 1000% worth it, EXCEPT, it was cloudy and I knew there was going to be too much fog to enjoy the sunrise and it’s glorious colors 🥺. Therefor we ended up pushing everything back 2 hours! 5 am sounds a lot better when you compare it to 3 am 🥰
Their romantic, north cascades elopement started with an easy .5 mi. ridge hike. Though you couldn’t see the mountainscape as you usually could, the cloud coverage and fog gave the impression that you had left the PNW and entered into a mystical fairytale taking place on the cliffs of Scotland 😍
After the short hike and formal portraits, we headed 10 minutes down the mountain where we got out of the fog and saw the stunning light of day and surrounding mountains! This made the perfect setting for charcuterie and champagne, vow reading, and another relaxing hike. (but this time, with wildflowers and sunshine 🤩)
